The challenge

   One connection, not a manual export queue

   The team authorizes Canva in Modiva once. Modiva stores only a scoped, encrypted token and refreshes it automatically, so designs and exports run through the API instead of click-Export-wait-repeat.

   Designs and exports over a unified API

   Instead of learning the Canva Connect APIs and their async export jobs, the team calls Modiva's typed tools to list and create designs, start exports and browse folders. The same request shape works across every tool Modiva supports.

   Production for AI agents via MCP

   An MCP key exposes the same tools to AI assistants. An agent creates a design from a preset, kicks off an export per format the campaign needs, polls until each job finishes and collects the download URLs — with scopes the team controls.

   Review, don't render

   Because the agent handles the export pipeline, creatives review finished assets instead of rendering them one at a time — turning an afternoon of manual exports into a single run.
